The Goal of
S. A. L .T. Social and Lifetime Tools
The goal is to provide children with the foundational inter-personal skills they will need in life; skills that can contribute to their successes in the following areas:
- Better decision makers when things are not going their way.
- Knowing how to gracefully interact with others and accept that they cannot always have their way.
- Conflict resolution…peacefully.
- Understanding right from wrong, fair vs. unfair, being kind toward others vs. being unkind.
- Having empathy for others.
- Consequences.
- Benefiting from doing the right things.
Our Purpose...
- Children that develop social and lifetime skills early are better & more equipped for the next grade.
- Social skills can create an impact by influencing little ones while they are still developing.
Many teachers are relinquishing their love for teaching because they do not feel that they receive enough support for discipline problems. As such implementation is crucial now!
Why we care...
Generation Z or sometimes called “Linksters” (those born after 2002) are our future. This call to action is urgent! It has become increasingly common to see parents relinquishing their parental authority. As educators, if we tap into this ‘urgent need’ early, we can help to make a difference. Also we would witness the positive impact that this training can have on the future of our children. The following valuable social skills, when combined with academics, can really allow kids to soar!
- Why apologizing is necessary and can build friendships
- How to apologize
- How to share
- The benefits of telling the truth
- Why it is important to ask permission
- How to be a leader without bullying
